STRANGE SNOW
A play by Stephen Metcalfe
“…he was our friend, our heart… a waterwalker…”
It is 5AM, the first day of fishing season, and Megs is determined to
get his old buddy up, but David has a terrible hang over that is not
entirely caused by last nights’ drinking. Megs and David served in Viet
Nam together, and the death of their friend Bobby still haunts them.
David lives with his sister Martha, a high school teacher who looks
after her brother, as her own opportunities for happiness pass by day by
day. When Megs arrives on the scene and takes a special interest in
Martha, old feelings are unleashed, and the years of denial can no
longer be ignored.
Strange Snow became the major motion picture “Jack Knife”, starring
Robert DeNiro, Ed Harris, and Kathy Baker.
Image Theater’s production will feature the acting talents of Sharon
Mason, Bob Stachel, and John Carozza. It is directed by Jerry Bisantz,
with the assistance of Ann Garvin. Lighting and sound design by Alex
Savitzky.
Performances are May 14, 15, 21, 22nd at 8PM
Upstairs at The Old Court Pub, 29 Central Street, downtown Lowell.
