Distant Music
a new
play by James McLindon
Award winning Northampton, MA playwright James McLindon’s ode to the
power of faith, friendship and all things Guinness.
While a blizzard howls outside, three extraordinary people reach out
to each other in a pub in Cambridge. As inviting as a warm woolen
sweater, Distant Music is an immensely literate
play that weds the joys of the fine art of conversation with a
distinct sprinkling of Irish humor, and possesses a quiet power that
will remain with you long after the curtain falls.
Distant Music
will perform April 13, 14, 20 and 21
at The Old Court, a wonderful Irish Tavern at 2931
Central Street, downtown Lowell. There will be two performances on
April 14 and 20, at 4:00PM and
8:00PM. Curtain on the 13th and 20th is at 8PM.

THE HISTORY OF NAILS

Coen, Stephen Gilbane & Don Schuerman
Little
Bobby and Dad take a journey through time as they discover the history
(perhaps) of the common household nail. As we watch cavemen, Romans,
French royalty, forgotten English inventors, and American settlers sing
about how the little nail changed their world, we learn with Bobby that
history - and family members -may not be the thing you expected.

IMAGE
THEATER RENT PARTY A SMASH
Who knew that
Monday night could be such a great night for a party? On Monday, April
25th, the Image Theater Company hosted its first (and wildly
successful) fundraising & "awareness-raising" party at Club Cafe
on Columbus Ave in Boston. The fabulous John O'Neil provided his
brilliant brand of entertainment on the keyboards, but notable local
talent was more than capable of giving him a run for his money! In
keeping with the Image Theater's mission of original works, highlights
included original songs by Steve Gilbane, Gail Phaneuf,
and Stephen Price, beautifully rendered by Elaine Theodore,
Max Bisantz, Peter Adams, Gail Phaneuf, and Jane Eyler.
Rob Mattson, Jen Conden, Liana Leahy, "Chip" Piatti and so
many others too numerous to mention were standouts in belting out tunes
that kept the party going for hours.
As usual Jerry
Bisantz was humorously long winded, Steve Gilbane was brilliantly
talented, and Ann Garvin was lovely (and the ultimate hostess.) The food
was great (have to remember Club Cafe in the future... great staff!) and
by the end of the evening, the Image Theater had certainly made an
impression on many terrific theater people. Our thanks go out to the
many friends who were unable to attend, but were generous enough to mail
donations to our cause. As we head up to Lowell we know that we will see
many of our great "Boston" friends again and again!.
